I know I’m 9 months late but just gotta say I love your P5 stuff and would kill for you to check out 3 Reload lol. I started with P5 myself, and after playing 3R and 4G, 3R is now my favorite out of all of them, easily. The music, the characters, the story, idk I love P5 to death but P3 really just blew me away. I wanted to say that I totally agree with your take on P5 having a really long tutorial phase, and I felt like adding that P3 doesn’t really have that problem at all. Once it gets going it pretty much lets you go to do things however you want, and it doesn’t take long for that to happen. I’m actually replaying P5 rn and forgot how much handholding there is early on. Not a dealbreaker or anything, but I could see someone bouncing off before it really gets going.

Always loved how Royal changed up Akechi's character. In the original, Akechi was actually one of the more weaker confidants and one of the main reason is that it ranks up automatically on certain dates. In a game where your time and choice matters, being robbed of both kind of cheapens whatever impact the relationship would have had. Then they mostly redid Akechi's whole confidant links in Royal, leaning in to the fact that he's a rat bastard out to stab you in the back and you know that he's a rat bastard out to stab you in your back. Despite that, the two of you found genuine respect for each other and the bond you have with him is proof of how strong it is. To put it into perspectove, Akechi's 1v1 with you and his salty runback challenge by throwing the glove at Joker was NOT in the original P5.

Madman Akechi Navigator goes hard. Wish we had an option to choose our navigator because of him. Futaba is fine but Akechi is just something else. He has voicelines for things you don't expect they'll put the effort to put in. Like he has specific voicelines if a party member or himself gets afflicted with a status ailment in battle. My favorite will always be whenever Akechi himself gets afflicted with brainwash, he basically goes "I'm not the one who was brainwashed! You two are brainwashed!"

I like the significance of the parties third awakening. Their Persona's first form are usually rebels who in the end, in one shape or another, failed what they were rebelling against. Their second form of personas are more Diety figures who were succeful in some form of rebellion. Their 2nd awakening goes back to the original form of their personas with a more modern take and their names have changed to signify the real person that was used to inspire/make famous the namesake of their original personas. Even of their first forms were rebels who failed, it was important to remember the real humans behind their legends who fought for what they believed in even if they failed in the end. Also such a shame that the Main hero's 3rd Persona is locked behind a paywall. Raoul looks totally cool and sick.

I always like how in the first P5, the final battle is with a malevolent god who wishes to subjugate humans under his will. The Phantom Thieves loudly and proudly proclaimed that humans will never be slaves and forever strive for freedom. Then P5R comes out and gives us the additional month and new content. This time the main antagonist is still wanting to subjugate humans but rather than use their power for selfish needs, he instead goes out and makes a world where everyone is happy. He doesn't want you to be in pain, he wants what he thinks is best for you. A gentle submission yet submission all the same. Would you be able to stick with the answer of freedom that you've found beforehand?

Honestly 5 was my first intro into the series and it hit me just as hard as it did you. I bawled my eyes out. HOWEVER, 4 hit me even harder. I was absolutely dead inside by the end of 4. And although it is still great, 3 did not hit me in the feels at all. I have played both portable and reload.

3:58 It may be possible Gerald may have faked his own death the whole time both in movie and game. We never actually see his body after his execution in the game lore; he probably escaped death and extended his lifespan via his own Chaos Control or something equivalent to it, I dunno. Another possibility is the involvement of the Time Stones, time-traveling relics from Sonic CD which may hopefully be used as inspiration for Sonic 4 (one comment even suggests that Sonic's quill may be used to create Metal Sonic).

I haven’t played the normal persona 5 I started playing persona 5 Royal this year at February and finished it in around 2 weeks I was seriously addicted to the game it was such a masterpiece once I finished it I immediately jumped to persona 3 reload and altho the experience wasn’t the same as persona 5, persona 3 reload was still special on its own way and I still enjoyed it and I’m most likely going to play the dlc, I still haven’t played persona 4 golden but I have it installed but I’m really looking forward to metaphor refantazio because it absolutely looks amazing and I feel it’s a game that will give me the same feelings like persona 5 Royal

There is 0 proof that JC cheated, and if there is feel free to show me. Because the only actual “evidence” is a post Raygun made saying that JC cheated.
